Internal Tooling Strategy Review

A 3–5 week engagement that inventories shadow systems, clarifies ownership, and produces a ranked plan for what to automate, rebuild, or retire.

Who it is for

Engineering managers, operations leads, and product operations partners who inherit a patchwork of internal scripts, shared drives, and one-off bots — and need a sober plan before the next licence renewal cycle.

Result you leave with

A written strategy memo, a living tooling inventory, and a ranked automation backlog with owners and rough effort bands. You also receive a short brief you can take to finance or vendors without rewriting our findings.

Scope included

  • Up to eight stakeholder interviews (engineering, ops, finance, or support)
  • Inventory of current internal tools, scripts, and unofficial trackers
  • Build-versus-buy notes for the top three candidates
  • Prioritised automation backlog with dependency notes
  • One on-site or video readout workshop (90 minutes)

Out of scope

We do not implement production systems, migrate data warehouses, or negotiate vendor contracts during this review. Implementation can be scoped separately after the readout.

Provider and working style

Sessions are led by a Toolkit Stonebase consultant based in Bangkok, with optional Thai/English bilingual facilitation when mixed-language teams need it. We work from your real calendars and ticket samples — not from a generic maturity model.

Process and timeline

  1. Scoping call (45 minutes) — confirm teams in scope and access to sample artefacts.
  2. Discovery week — interviews and inventory collection.
  3. Synthesis — draft strategy memo and backlog.
  4. Readout — walkthrough, edits, and final delivery.

Typical calendar span is three to five weeks depending on interview availability.

Location and preparation

Work happens at Office 11, 57 Sample Avenue, Bangkok 00000, or by video. Please prepare: a list of known internal tools, two recent incident or delay stories, and permission to speak with the people who actually run the trackers.

Pricing basis

Fixed project fee starting at THB 185,000. Larger multi-site inventories are quoted after the scoping call. A 40% deposit confirms the start date; balance is due on delivery of the final memo.

Next step

Request a scoping call and mention the Internal Tooling Strategy Review. Bring whatever inventory you already have — incomplete lists are welcome.
